Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction tutor: Christene Burgess
Christene has practiced (Vipassana) meditation since 1985.
Her initiation and inspiration into meditation came earlier via
an employer who then assigned a room for meditation at
their workplace. This gave Christene a value of having an
integrated approach to ones work, lifestyle and spirituality
plus the shared benefits and a visionary outlook.
Firstly inspired to develop and deliver holistic EAP - Employee
Assistance Programmes, well-being initiatives and customer
service training for various organisations. Progressively, as
Mindfulness-based values has evolved, Christene now brings
the phenomenal benefits of Mindfulness to life via this course.
Naturally, Christene is committed to the practice of Mindfulness

Christene is an accredited counsellor (with the Counselling
Society) and since 1990, a member of BACP, having studied
Psychosynthesis Counselling and Therapy. Her studies
include selected mind-body and spiritual wisdom from the East,
Africa and West. And she has served as a Trustee in the
Vipassana organisation. She has continued professional
supervision and studying (CPD); and has worked with
people of various backgrounds, needs and organisations.
In her commitment to her own and others practice of
Mindfulness, Christene attends courses, retreats, conferences,
and is engaged in writing and research. And recognising that
we stand on the shoulders of everyone before us, with gratitude
to those who precede her on this pathway, she is honoured
